Several Suspected Killers Arrested After Brutal Holiday Murder At Maryland Convenience Store

Three suspects have been arrested in connection to a Lewisdale Labor Day murder earlier this month, authorities say.

Carol Garcia-Rivas, 43, Deandre Smith, 24, and Abdi Omar, 33, were revealed to be connected to the murder of Roberto Santos-Melendez, 44, that occurred on Monday, Sept. 5, according to Prince George's County Police.

Santos-Melendez was discovered unresponsive in a convenience store parking lot in the 7700 block of 23rd Avenue shortly before 1 a.m., after police received reports of a shooting. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police say that they believe the 44-year-old victim was shot during a dispute with the trio.

The trio have been charged with first and second-degree murder along with other related charges. They are all in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
